Today I am going to share with you one of our new member’s concern. With her permission I am posting our conversation;
I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING YOU FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW. I RELATE TO YOUR TESTIMONY AND LOVE WHAT YOU DO, BUT I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN, HOW CAN I BE RESTORED LIKE YOU?
Thank you for joining our group. I feel so good when I see a post from a new member, I welcome you and be be assured that our platform is a safe place for you to come especially when you feel oppressed and overwhelmed.
To answer your question, the truth is, I don’t know any other way but Jesus Christ. He says in John 14:6 “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me” I believe in this word and I also believe that He is the only one who can restore a soul Psalm 23:3. In other words, He is the only one capable of fixing anything that was broken in you; only Him can renovate you, and bring you back to the former condition before the abuse. For me Christ is the ultimate result and the most efficient way in the healing process. For years, I’ve tried everything human kind could offer as therapeutic to recover from domestic violence. Been through all types of mental and physical therapies, spent hours lying back in couches talking to psychiatrists… nothing worked until the day a co-worker introduced me to Christ. God, not only heals, but he restores. The soul is a deep part of you, it’s a part of your inner being and because he created and made you, he knows best what is good for you, so in the restoration process he will take away everything that’s not from Him and will re-program you with everything that is from Him. Psalms 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds”; Ezekiel 36:26 “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh”. That’s what He did with me. And he also equipped me with enough wisdom not to fall back into another abusive relationship. Moreover, because I have been born again (accepted Christ as my Lord and my savior) I am entitled to the peace and joy that God has promised in His Word Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”.
The good news about that is; whatever He did for me he can do it for you, it all depends on you. Of course, restoring the soul is only possible for those whose souls have been redeemed through faith in Christ. Jesus promised rest to all those that would come to Him Matthew 11:29-30 “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Why don’t you try him today? He is closer than what you think.
Please can call me so that I introduce you to JESUS CHRIST.
