Overcomers’ talks are support groups, depending on the subject they can be small (no more than seven participants) or large (not to exceed fifteen participants). These groups are run in two phases:

Listening: Often overcomers just want to openly share details of their lives including the abuse. Our role is to listen and support them without judging or influencing their decisions.

Talking:Led by trained catalysts, Overcomers receive support, and gain important tools needed to heal from the effects of violent relationships. The groups include practical information about the dynamics of abuse.

Sessions are typically one hour long, and take place weekly.

The YEP program is designed to coach girls aged 10 – 16 years old and teach them how to improve or build their self-esteem and their body image. We want to train our princesses and give them the right tools to make the right choice when they grow up, because we believe that we “train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” Proverbs 22:6 ( KJV).

YEP is preventive program that promotes healthy and respectful relationships. it operates in three phases

  1. Prevention classes
  2. Intervention counseling
  3. Community outreach

Awareness + Prevention = Safe choice
