Rebuilding life after abuse can feel lonely and overwhelming. Group counseling, led by social work staff, art and drama therapists, and other experts allows clients to find healing and strength through shared experiences.

At Healing Hands, we believe that spiritual restoration should be part of the healing journey. In the healing corner, we encourage participants to express and live their faith freely. This is a small group of sept participants that meets every week for one hour for three months. To maintain the group dynamic, it’s important to commit for the duration of the group. The next cohort starts in May 2023, and enrollment will open in April 2022.

If you decide to seek support from a therapist after sexual assault or abuse, you may have some questions. That’s perfectly normal. Working with a therapist can help you deal with some of the challenges you may be facing.

We offer free psychological assistance to victims. The focus of this psychological support is to deal with the direct consequences of abuse, in order to allow patients to be freed by speech, in a safe, empathetic and non-judgmental environment. This psychological assistance is provided by clinical professionals, trained in victimology. Individual run weekly or bi-weekly depending on the client’s need.
